College Friend Reunion!

Last night I went to a party with all my old friends from college! It was really great, and I really liked the picture I took of my friend Jackie, who always has stunning hair!!

(P.s. the everyday thing has beaten me, so now its going to be upload as and when, until I reach 365 ;) but I will try my best to make that more than once a week!!!)

Red Ivy

Okay this is the last of the Bath Buildings for this week, I promise haha. (I think I'm getting a bit obsessed!)

I have always loved buildings covered in ivy, but I'm not sure I'd like it on my own house, imagine all the bugs and birds living in there!!

Bath Hotel

This is one of my favourite buildings there. This hotel was build with three different roof styles, to show the three levels of quality of stay. The left hand side is a 'Mansion' (top) the middle shows a manor house (good) and the left shows a cottage (average).

'Urban air pollution from coal smoke blackened the surfaces at the beginning of the
century and by its end they appeared to be discoloured by diesel soot.'
(Peter Brimblecombe, Carlota M. Grossi)

But I think it looks rather attractive, in a gothic, 19th century kind of way. I really love Bath, very happy to be doing my work experience there this week, despite the soul-destroying bus journey.

Inspired by Cherryhumbug

Today I was inspired by Cherryhumbug.net, Katie is heavily into fashion, and posts regular updates of new outfits she has bought, capturing herself beautifully.

I am not half as photogenic, but I felt that I wanted to share what will most likely be my outdoors winter look, including of course, my favourite husky hood.

Hood - Merrimaking.com, Coat - Topshop, Gloves - Fatface.

My Room

I know.....I'm awfully sorry not to post yesterday, I am very dissapointed with myself. But you know, Id had a long day at work, it was freezing, all I wanted to do was snuggle up in bed and sleep. Plus the wind was scary and it was dark and me and my brother were home alone...

Excuses over, Today I was determined not to be beaten. I opened my 'creative block' and it fell upon this page...

What is more cluttered than my room? Nothing! Therefore, I thought I'd attempt to do a 360degree shot, as it is now finally finished. Hope you like it!

Heal The World Shirt

My New Michael Jackson shirt came today in the post, so I decided (as it was XL) to cut it up a bit so it didnt look like a nightie!! I rolled up the sleeves and sewed them in place, which I also did like this on my last MJ shirt. And I then cut a good few inches off the bottom too.

Olivia

After editing all 84 pictures, I think this is one of my favourite finished images. (Today is very dank, and I've been busy at work experience, apologise for lack of photo from today, but I DID take over 400 yesterday so I guess it works out fair ;) )

Laurens Boutique

So tonight my best friend Lauren asked me to take some pictures of the clothes shes been producing for a shop she is planning to have up and running soon. She really had some fantastic outfits, however my favourite shots were these two, a simple Armani slouch jumper, modelled by her stunning little sister Eliza.

And beautiful model - Olivia, wearing a hand-embellished jacket.

Balloon in the sky

So I was in the garden taking pics of some flowers, when I heard a sound that could only be recognised as a hot air balloon releasing hot air!!! I ran to the top of the house and caught it in the sky (those things move fast!!!)

Spider

We've had loads of these spiders in the house recently, but this one got caught in the sink, poor thing.

Michael

Today, Michael was in the news again, his death case is on-going. So I'm having a friday night in watching old music award performances, and listening to my most recently-favourite song, Stranger in Moscow.

Priddy Woods

I'm truly sorry, this is the first cheat. I'm very gutted I missed today's sunset which was amazing. This is the woods we walked through yesterday in Priddy.

Priddy

This is the kind of house I would love to live in some day, a completely quiet, sereen, wooden house overlooking empty and endless fields.
I am also currently obsessed with this song, which I think compliments this picture.

Halloween at Glastonbury

This is currently a shop window in Glastonbury, I love it, but sadly couldn't get rid of the reflection. But I think it adds to the spookiness!

26.9.11

Apologies this is a day late, My computer messed up last night at 11:50pm, so it wasn't going to happen!!!
I had this awesome grape soda yesterday, it was bright purple and very sweet, I like the fact the can has New York at the top :)
Its from an american sweet shop in Bristol, I have vanilla coke left but I'm saving it!

Sunday, 25 September 2011

I was in Glastonbury this afternoon with my friends Luke and David as they were visiting. I told them Glatonbury was very different, but was not expecting the celebratory parade of Sri Krishna Janmastami to go down the high street! This is a fabulous carriage they were carrying, apologise for the café window, but they were moving fast so I had to be quick!

(Luckily my phone has a relatively decent camera)

Boat Ride

Today we went on a lovely boat ride in Bath to Bathampton. I was sitting at the front next to this rope, and spotted a leaf on it which I thought would look great close up. After this my camera died so I failed to take any more pictures.

Back

So I was inspired by Lady Gaga's Joe Calderone (swoon), but failed miserably at getting a portrait shot of myself in a similar pose. I hope one day I will achieve it, so you will have to be patient. For now, an equally awkward shot (despite how simple it looks) I thought this would suffice. Really enjoying playing with Black and White.

Lap-Guitar Busker

Went to Bristol today with my darling Sinclair. This man was playing the most wonderful music, similar to Andy Mckee. This shot makes it look like he isn't playing at all, but believe me he was.
I love the look of confusion from the old lady!

When it Rains, it pours.

Raining, Again. Apologies I can't seem to be more creative. Try harder tomorrow.

Rainy September

Its been so rainy and overcast in the recent weeks, I haven't been greatly inspired to take outdoor photographs.

I did however, spot the clover on the lawn, gently spotted with raindrops from a recent shower.

Merrimaking.co.uk

Look what came in the post today! This is my custom and hand made animal hood from the wonderful people at www.merrimaking.co.uk!
I asked for a Siberian Husky, and I just love the pointy ears.

Crates

I went to the Bath and West Antique's fair this morning with my Dad. A guy called Hoof sold these French crates, which he had artistically stacked up in the sunlight. This was the most photogenic thing I found there...serious.

Cobweb

Okay so this is also a slack effort, but I love how the antique Tole Light's out here in the conservatory are covered in cobwebs, making quite a nice juxtaposition :)

Dad's Shed

I have decided this is Day 1 of 365 (scary!) To make sure I actually use my brand new camera every day without fail. I feel terrible that its just sat in my room doing nothing lately.

But not any more!

Now I know this isn't a complex picture, but come on, its day 1, and I just about know how to use the program modes on here...

So This is a view from the top of our house, I realised my Dad wasn't in his usual spot on the sofa at about 10pm last night, so I was wondering where he was. I came back up to my room, and saw the light from his shed at the bottom of the garden. If you don't know me very well, I have a bit of a fascination with my Dad's work shed, I even made a documentary about it last year! But Anyway, I forgot that they are doing a 3 day Antique's fair this weekend, and he was down there finishing off some last minute jobs before the morning.

I especially like the subtle red glow from a neighbours house in the background :)
